Maximum memory block that can be reserved for a raster or a data structure linked to a topologically structured vector: 2 GB in the 32-bit version. In the 64-bit version the maximum memory block is practically unlimited (it will depend on the installed RAM). Number of program sessions than can be opened: there is not any defined limit; probably the execution slowness will be a limitant factor before reaching the own Windows limit. Coordinates precision: double precision (8 bytes or 15-17 significant figures). Maximum number of columns or rows in a file: about 2100 millions (2147483648). Coordinates precision: double precision (8 bytes or 15-16 significant figures). Maximum number of entities (points, arcs, polygons, nodes) in a file: about 2100 millions (2147483648). Maximum number of segments in an arc: about 2100 millions (2147483648). On screen, and under Windows 9x, this value is limited to 32767; if an arc contains more vertices, a message is shown and the redrawing of the remaining objects continues, but it rarely occurs because there is a dynamic simplification that normally avoids that. In any case, you can query and do any analysis with these large arcs. There is no limit under subsequent versions of Windows. Maximum number of arcs that can converge upon the same node: 65536. Maximum number of arcs in a polygon type entity: about 2100 millions (2147483648). Non-topologically structured vector files (VEC) Coordinates precision: double precision (8 byte or 15-17 significant figures). Maximum number of entities (points, lines, polygons) in a file: no limit. Maximum number of vertices in an entity: about 2100 millions (2147483648). On screen and under Windows 9x this value is limited to 32767; if an entity contains more vertices, a message is shown and the redrawing of the remaining objects continues. There is no limit under subsequent versions of Windows. Color symbolization tables (DBF, PAL, P25 and P65) Number of levels for each RGB color gun: 65536 in P65 files, 256 in DBF and P25 files (recommended option) and 64 in PAL files. Internally and following Window's features, MiraMon works with 256 colors for each RGB color gun. Maximum number of colors in a color symbolization table: 65536. In raster files can reach 16.8 million. In 256-color graphic boards it is not possible to maintain more than 256 colors simultaneously on the screen. So, it is possible and normal that, when we redraw a vector file using a color palette after redrawing other files also using (different) color palettes, if the amount of all colors required for the system (150 from the first palette plus 16 from the second one, ) exceeds 256, the first redrawn elements do not keep their color and are changed to the new incoming colors (if different). This problem will not appear if you work with a driver with 32767 colors or 16.8 million colors (the usual situation in the XXIst century). In 256-color systems, other possible solutions are:
If you want to know the number of colors that MiraMon detects in the system, you can click on the color box in the lower right-hand margin in the MiraMon presentation box. Maximum number of hatching styles: 46. Maximum number of colors in a hatching symbolization table: 65536. Maximum number of different symbol styles: no limit. |
