  • What is the Universal Geospatial Metadata Manager (GeM+)?

    • Is a FREE distribution program that allows you to create, manage and edit metadata from very diverse sets of geographic information in a powerful and intuitive way.
  • Platforms on which the GeM+ can run:

    • GeM+ is a 32-bit and 64-bit application which can be run under Windows 2000, XP, 2003 Server, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 10 and Windows 11 running in Intel or compatible (Cyrix, AMD, etc.) computers.
  • What do I need to do to install GeM+?

    • You only need to download the GeM+ with installer once and install it by executing the file InstGeMPlus.exe. This application saves the program GeMPlus.exe or/and GeMPlus_64.exe in the local computer, create the program access menus and registers the extensions in the Windows registry. You will only need to re-install the program when new versions with new functionalities are released.

    You can also download the version in a ZIP and then just unzip the ZIP in a directory, for example c:\GeMPlus. This option does not create menus or register extensions; but it can be run for example from a USB stick.

  • Do I need MiraMon to use GeM+?

    • No, GeM+ is an independent programm.
  • I have MiraMon in my computer, do I need GeM+?

    • No, MiraMon already includes GeM+.
